Well, not trying to be a wise-ass, but they come stock with a cold air intake.

Id like to see a direct comparison of the Stillen and the SXTH Speed. In any case all the aftermarket ones I see put a clear cover on the top and Im not a big fan. I understand you can see if the filters dirty, I just check my filters.

The stock intake has 2 90 degree bends. Stillen made it more of a straight shot to achieve maximum amount of air flow. Please check out our video.

More noise, slightly more power. WIth tuning a less restrictive intake/exhaust will be more beneficial. But my only reason for doing one will be for fun. I would like to hear what the difference is with the TRD Pro and TrailHunter that they require tuning for aftermarket intakes. And the TRDPro airbox doesnt work on the Pro's without tuning. Maybe as simple as a slight tune adjustment from Toyota, or maybe different maf, inlet diameters?

The current stock intake has several bends to restrict noise, which also severely decreases flow. You should take a look at the Stillen video on fuel octane and airflow impacts to the 4G Tacoma. It is very interesting research.
