Has anyone noticed the volume control is only consistent with each source. Yesterday I was driving down the Interstate with the windows open listening to the radio. The volume was up due to the wind and road noise. I decided to switch over to satellite radio for news. I then proceeded to an exit ramp and slowed to a stop and lowered the volume. I decided to switch back to the radio, and DAMN. The volume was still at the level when I was last listening to the radio (On the interstate with windows down). Now, I can't stop noticing it. It automatically reverts to the volume when you last listened to that source. It is very annoying. Is there a way to turn this off or correct it?

Toyota has done this for decades. I agree that it can be pretty annoying.

You shouldn't have to turn down the volume when you get off the highway though. There should be a setting for adaptive volume control, where it turns up the volume the faster you go and lowers it when you slow down. I haven't looked for it on my Taco, but it should be somewhere in the audio settings.
