Got a much better MagSafe charger installed using two other posts to disable the OEM charging mat. This holds the phone higher and flat providing a perfect gap for the camera + case bezel:

Thanks, I had no idea;) Jokes aside, I needed a solution that charges my phone as opposed to cooking it.

OEM Wireless charge mat:
My phone overheats and barely charges. Perhaps it's my phone's size [15 Pro, non Max], my MagSafe case and/or both however I don't experience poor [and worrisome] performance like this with any other wireless charge mat.

Replacement MagSafe charger:
Phone charges at a decent rate, doesn't over heat

I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and it charges just fine on the Qi. It does get a bit warm, but my Mag Safe at home gets it a bit warm too.

I suspected position/size and case may be contributing.. sits low [smaller phone] large gap behind a MagSafe case with rare earth magnets to boot.. regardless, wasn't good.
