Toyota’s 2024 Tacoma Transmission Fix Didn’t Stop A Class Action Lawsuit
The lead plaintiff claims to have experienced a raft of transmission issues

https://www.carscoops.com/2024/11/class-action-goes-after-toyota-and-tacomas-faulty-transmission/

Well i guess this is a good thing since it will cast a big spotlight on the current Transmisson issues that so many guys are experiancing.
The article was by “carscoop “ also stated how Toyota just replaced parts with on hand deffective parts, so if im reading correct, those that had replacement parts installed can probably expect more issues , shame on toyota.
This will more then likely halt production, or all trucks put on hold.

When someone asked if you found the link, they meant for you to post it. Not tell us your version of what you read.
I asked, and I found it. Can’t figure out how to get the link. I typed 2024 tacoma class action lawsuit and it’s already all over the internet including YouTube

I'm not sure where the "so many" are or the shame you mention considering Toyota has stood behind the product, has published VINs, and already made efforts to fix the manufacturing problem.

It is a problem for sure but not looking like the many cases or poor history of the auto industry in denial or hiding. Looking again this morning, the 2024 has the 1 recall I remember as the weight placard, 49 complaints and 0 investigations.

I am glad to see this. I have the hard shifts - they are delayed and when they happen they feel like someone hit the transmission housing with a mallet. I also have mileage way below what is claimed for a hybrid, which probably comes from it not always locking the torque converter

I think Toyota is doing the right thing for owners with failed transmissions. But for those of us with damaged transmissions their approach of just drive it until it dies seems like way too little. I check my truck for transmission codes on a regular basis hoping to win the you get a new transmission lottery. Not at all what I expected from a new Toyota product.

How do you check for transmission codes?
