Tacoma Rear View Mirror

Hello!

New member, 1st Toyota, 1st time owning a truck as well.

I ordered a new rear view mirror from Bobs that has the home link buttons. Has anyone removed the black plastic cover surrounding the rear view mirror? I’ve gotten the center piece out but not sure how to remove the housing yet. I don’t want to damage the windshield or housing itself.

Any advice would be much appreciated

It has directional clips that kinda slide off towards the windshield. Pretty easy to take off.

That may be the one for the digital mirror. I'd contact Dongar and confirm. It's the one I use to connect my Garmin dashcam.
