2,500 miles in with my TH, 19.5mpg average. My best tank gave me 21.1, the last one 18.4. I'm not really pushing it hard either. Could always be worse, but I was hoping for better.
You got a serious off-road machine. They are not engineered to maximize miles per gallon.

I just did 750 mile trip in my PRO iforce max driving extremely conservatively.
Got 20.7. Can't imagine how guys are getting better MPG.
Truck now has 3,000 miles on it. Can I expect better in the future?

Not denying the break-in is important, I always do so, but I’ll be horn-swaggled if’n I can find it in the new owners manual … am I being a dingbat and missing it?
It's in there. I had the dealer tell me there is no need. Then I found it in the manual. Don't have it available to read right now but if i recall it was something like, "avoid fast starts/stops, don't tow, and vary your speeds for first 1000 miles [or 1000 Km].

Kind of mystifies me too. And I'm one of the ones getting 23+MPG in a non-hybrid. I just turned over 5000 miles.
Only thing I can think of is that I do almost no stop and go driving, most of my travel has been at 65MPH or less (I'm 50 miles from the nearest interstate), and I let the cruise control do most of the acceleration (have it set to low acceleration).

Oh: and stock tires.

2500 miles - stock tires Trailhunter - if I’m in eco mode and driving gently, easily over 21 which is great for a 5400 pound fat boy

Has any one seen an improvement after 5000 miles? I had a Jeep JK before my TRD off road, and that seemed to be the sweet spot for break in.

I am currently around 19.9 for my 50/50 driving. 1700 miles

Once I hit 2400-2500 miles my mileage went up to 21mpg or so if I drive pretty reasonably. I use 89 octane though.

I suggest use actual litres / gallons put in and mileage driven rather than the truck’s data. My truck reads empty with about 50km left in the tank.
Off Road 6’ bed with city driving I average 12.71 litres per 100km or 18.5 mpg. I have 3500 miles on the truck. In Normal mode (eco was actually worse mileage).

I'm about 1700 miles in on my new TRD Pro Taco and the MPG's have been pretty disappointing. My highway miles average right around 18 mpg. I'm almost always in ECO mode, and I live in the valley here in western Oregon, so the slight inclines are equally matched with the slight declines. I don't have a heavy foot and I'm usually in cruise set to about 60 mph. My city MPGs are better, usually around 20-22.

Im only 800 miles in but i get 21-22 on the highway in perfect conditions. usually around 20.

Street is 15-18 depending on how long the drive is and how much lights i hit. short drives are the worst.

1,000 miles on my TRD Pro and my average has slowly climbed to 17.4 mpg after resetting it at around 600 miles. My best highway run so far was 19.1. I'm not sure how some people get so much better mileage because I am not driving really fast (Virginia!) or accelerating hard.

how fast is your highway? We drive bricks so wind resistance gets pretty bad above 65-70.
