That's pretty fast service. Is the 'new' transmission OK now?
Hunmm, not sure, it drives better than before, but I have an appointment next week this week about the shift from D to R, because it makes very hard sound like something it hitting it he tranmission.

Interested to see what ends up happening but Im wondering if they did not actually replace the transmission? 2.5 hours (considerably less than that, once you factor in time to deliver from the other dealer) is pretty quick for a swap.

Could be. They likely had the old one out when the new one arrived

My transmission is in the TSB and mostly if shifts fine. But I do get those hard shifts into reverse and they sound like what you describe @Tacodonal - like someone hit the transmission case with a hammer. It is hard to see how that is normal, but since it still moves I guess Toyota says that it is.

It seems strange that a new transmission was already at another dealer and even stranger that it is not working right already.

They replaced new transmission in 6 hours which is crazy how fast was it, and I'm still wondering because it makes something like hit 80% when i put it in reverse.

This happened at 2100 miles
What does this even mean? 80% of what? What is "it?" The transmission was fast? The repair was fast? What is hitting what?

Did you hit 100% of something before typing this?

based on the quote above in spanish, i think OP is not a native english speaker and using google translate to post.

my interpretation based on that assumption: he's shocked by how quickly they replaced the transmission. and now with the new transmission, 80% of the time he shifts into reverse, it makes a noise that sounds like the transmission is being hit with something, the same symptom @TacoFreak described.

The machines got us the Spanish to Englishish, but the missing 5% was Englishish to English. It makes much more sense more. Thank you.

clearly a symptom of something, frustrating that toyota has the gall to call it normal. has yours always done it, or if not at what mileage did the symptom start? i am at 500 miles with no noticeable transmission issues......yet.

That isn’t the only issue with mine, it also is bad driving at low speeds, clunks, jerks, bangs, shudders and vibrates at low speeds, it’s so embarrassing I won’t let anyone drive in my truck. To answer your question everything was unicorns and rainbows until 500ish miles then all the problems started

sorry, i'm sure you've discussed all this elsewhere already, but still no codes on an OBD reader?

how many miles now, and when was the last time a dealer looked at it? did you try a second dealer? i can't fathom them just ignoring such symptoms, code or not.
