Hey whats up guys, here is a before and after of my 2024 Trailhunter. I decided to go with the factory ARB bed rack this thing just fits this truck imo the best . It looks so good but thats just me.

The entire install took me a little over 7 hours , there was ALOT involved from removal of both tail lights, drilling into the rear bed for structural support of the rear brackets, drilling a hole atop of the bed scene lighting to fed the CHMSL wire harness , taking apart the drivers side panels to tapping into a factory terminal block. I plan on possibly adding the HD kit if the roof bed rack is to heavy and it starts shifting I might install it later.

Install difficulty 6 out of 10 . The only reason I decided to install it on my own was because dealerships were asking $1200 to $1800 for install and two to three days in the shop. I asked for the install guide which was 60 pages long, I just made sure I had all tools on hand and laid it all out.

It should have come from the factory like this! Why would you market an Overlanding trim with that baby rack that hardly supports any weight instead of a full rack!

Thank you, beats the hell outta me. I really wish Toyota made it possible to spec these kind of option parts out and let us the consumers build out or vehicles to our liking especially if they are the higher trim models.

You could pick up a relocation kit from GGOffroad and move the digital rear view as well. I did this with my cap and it's been great. No matter how much you put in the bed, you still have a rear view mirror.

Wow..well done looks great, credit for you taking this project on with great success, mor then i would of taken apart, lol. You have some skill, i dont have the nerve to go that far in lol…..very nice job, good luck with truck..thanks for sharing

Thanks David. I was really hesitant on taking this project but after studying the installation guide and looking at some Youtube videos on how to take apart the fender flares (for front bumper install) and rear tail lights (for rear bed stiffeners) I incorporated everything learned on YouTube to my install. The only hard part was the 24 pin connector (to connect power wire for CHMSL) that was somewhat difficult to access and remove . All in all it was a fun project and I manage to save $1200 - $2000 which was quoted from local dealerships here in Southern California.

Looks good, does anyone know how these things look after a few years, I´ḿ in an enviro. with winter for most of the year, everything gets rust.

No it did not impact my camera i was still able to see vehicles in my rear view. Ill upload a picture tomorrow.

Not sure how much it weigh, its sturdy but not light. I was able to pick up to top end myself and throw it up when I was installing it. I ordered it at the dealership I bought the truck at South Bay Toyota , took them 4 days to receive the parts. The parts came in 3 boxes on a pallet.
