Ok I'm having a strange issue with my 24 Tacoma. This started a couple days after I brought my truck in for 10k service at the dealership. I have method mr316 wheels and I use ET spline lug nuts as well as hub rings for 106.1 to 95.1. What's happening to me is that I have a weird vibration basically at all speeds kind of feels like an out of balance wheel and the back of my truck is "jumping". After countless times getting my wheels balanced as well as getting new tires, I noticed that when I first install and torque down my wheels the truck drives great for a couple of days until it starts vibrating again. Then I'll remove the wheels and reinstall them and the vibrations go away again. It seems like one or multiple wheels are shifting on the hub causing the vibration and need for reinstalling them. The weird thing is that my lug nuts are not coming loose and hold the torque I torque them with. Any idea what is going on here? Do I have a bad hub somewhere? My theory is that the dealership used an impact during the tire rotation and messed up something but I'm not finding any obvious damage.

hmm, shops have been using impacts carelessly since forever, I would swap out the rings first. Iso one factor at a time. Then maybe even a different set of lug nuts.

Here's a Reddit exchange I came across on a Mazda forum, for what it's worth:

I definitely notice more vibration without rings. I am going to get some different lug nuts and try those.

Is it maybe that the spline lug nuts are bottoming out and not causing the wheel to completely seat tight against the hub?
