Need some help,
I just purchased a 2nd TRD Off Road 6M Tacoma and the clutch is weird, I could use some help from the wizards on this forum...
Not sure what to do here. Same vehicle, no mechanical issues. I have been driving manual transmissions for 22 years. Something feels weird.
I do not want to go to Toyota and say "hey this clutch sucks", so I am looking for some feedback / suggestions.
The initial zero resistance provided by the clutch is annoying and actually makes it hard to drive. My wife (who was converted to manual) has been complaining about it. Of course I did not listen...
Thoughts?

1st TRD Off Road 6M | 2nd TRD Off Road 6M |
Odometer 1000km | Odometer 2000km |
Clutch is consistent, resistance constant throughout | Clutch is inconsistent, extremely soft then constant for remaining 80% of travel |
Enjoyable clutch, predictable and consistent | Annoying clutch, two stages to manipulate (slack, then normal resistance) |
Fun to drive | Not fun to drive |
