Update 4/19:
2-3 weeks before I can get my truck back LOL...
The parts needed for replacement are somewhere down the already congested production line. Similar to how the owners with the grill shutter problem have to wait for their parts. My guy at the dealership had a Toyota field engineer...
Interesting to see same engine and same interior. I guess that simplifies things for Toyota. We can trouble shoot our engine issues with a different community 🤣
It's great question to ask, I'm sure many other new taco owners here will think the same.
The manual recommending to use 4hi monthly has me paranoid as well sometimes, another reason go off road and use it how it's meant!
Thanks for another informative upload Ben, always enjoy watching your videos.
How will ceramic coating normally hold up against the dust and dirt from mild off roading?
This is normal in a 4x4 system. The transfer case splits power evenly between front and real differentials. Both drive shafts to the diffs want to turn at the same speed so the more sharply you turn, the more the inner tire wants to go slower and slow down the front drive shaft along with it...
I asked a dealer to order these for me and he quoted about $272 since they were original replacement parts and not classified as accessories.
Not worth it to me so I’ll just wait for 3rd party or if someone is willing to sell their OEM.
Got their HD film kit for my 14" screen, it's been a month and highly recommend. Also comes with a protector for the dash, climate controls buttons, glass by the shift knob, and 4x4 controls which were a little tricky to put on, but the 14" screen and dash looks flawless.
I've been driving all around LA since I got my truck just over a month ago and have only seen 3/4 since. I do notice a lot more trucks are arriving on dealer lots now when I drive by so I assume sightings will start ramping up.
There seems to be a couple options.
I believe the first picture is the chase rack that comes standard, while I think most people would opt for the full rack in the 2nd picture. It's not clear yet how modular these custom ARB racks will be.
Did you have an option to chose between the chase rack or the full-size bed rack? I would think that would be a main selling point, I don’t see many people keeping the chase rack if it comes standard.
It’s nice to finally get some news, excited for you man.
Love the look of the switchback bulbs.
The interior lighting in the new tacos are pretty dim, I would buy an upgraded LED from you guys in a heartbeat.
Also, the headlights on the Trailhunter, TRD Pro, and Limited have an exclusive DRL at the bottom of the housing. I'm curious to know if that...
