Looks like Scout managed to pull off a mid-size with rear legroom. I like the front bench seat option and it looks much more roomy than the rest of the segment. Well done!

Love both vehicles. Too bad they're a) electric only and b) made by a manufacturer that talks a good talk, but will likely not be in business long. Rivian, Fisker, and some of the others couldn't make it work, so why would I ever trust this company with my money?

It’s a Volkswagen. And altho the range extender is interesting and I can see other big auto players like Toyota doing this with solid state batteries. That’s the key. Remove the liquid electrolytes and watch mass-adoption into the off-road segment…

Not electric only. There is a built in gas generator.

I'm also not sure I would put Rivian and Fisker in the same sentence to be honest.

Styling is on target and I love the interior of the orange Traveler SUV. Specs seem to be on point too. I hope they do well!

They got two years to learn from those other failures and hopefully America the beautiful inspires them to not muck it up.

That's because it's not a midsize. The Terra is bigger in all dimensions than a Hummer EV.

229.2 inches length
91.6 inches wide
148.6 inch wheelbase
(Source)

216.8 inches length
86.7 inches wide
135.6 inch wheelbase
(Source)

If these numbers are true the thing is going to be enormous.

Can you touch it, drive it, buy it today?

Save the champagne and cigars until it actually ships. The car industry is quick to over promise and under deliver.

I hadn't seen the dimensions, but just from the payload and towing capacity, my assumption was it is large and will probably be in the same weight class as a 3/4-ton at least. For me, the scout would be more appealing if it was around the same dimensions as an R1T at a much better price point.

What do you mean by Rivian couldn’t make it work? They are still in business, growing and producing trucks I thought?

This Terra looks pretty great based on the reveal, looks like it should be a very capable ORV when it arrives. Lockers bench seat and extra 6 inch bed vs my Tacoma

Ya this is full size competition.

They need to make the Scout Traveler *International* [old school] edition and only then could you fit it on some these trails the tacos can get down.

The solid axle thing is interesting on an electric. Will it be kinda-instant torque to the wheels, and will clearance suffer.... The R1S has bagged the Rubicon. That Traveler will need to come in with some great trail capabilities or get marketed as a soccer mom rig - for the price.
