ARB 1/4 bed rack- Does anyone even want these?

Is anyone who got this with their taco keeping it? It seems that they are all immediately removed or for sale. Sure seems like Toyota missed the boat on this, apparently useless, and expensive accessory.

I think people hoping to get half the msrp for them is a bit optimistic.

If you are keeping and using yours, why and how? If not, why?

I'm keeping mine. If I ever sell my truck it will pull the SmartCap off and sell it independently, then put the chase rack back on so it's "factory complete".

I bought a takeoff from a guy on here, love the way it looks. Functionally Ive used it to carry my extension ladder.

They look absolutely great but we need one that allows for a solid bed cover.

I actually like the headache rack’s look, but I’m putting a wedge camper on (and if I wasn’t doing that it’d be a regular cap for storing my work tools) so it’s a no go for me ~ I figure someone out there will find a better use for it than it sitting in my garage.

It's actually a Sports or Chase Rack... ARB actually makes a really nice bed rack (super expensive) that sits above and covers the entire truck bed. Those are for camping, sleepers, and awnings. Very useful, but not what I need right now.
