I might be wrong but can't you go Into the dealer and have them disable the feature if they plug it in? Make it so the button turns it on instead of turns it off?

Nope! It's required by law for emissions.

You have to turn it off every time you start the vehicle. It gets old!

I do not have a hybrid.

FYI I do not think this is a requirement in Canada.

To each their own I guess! No hesitation from a stop at all! My mother's Cherokee trail hawk hesitates when it turns on with the auto off feature. I'm assuming our trucks do the same and that's why you wanted it disabled?

I looked at SR5, Sport base and premium and Off Road, all 4 wheel drive in Canada and none had it. I ordered an Off Road.

For me "Yes" the hesitation is one thing, but wearing out your starter 10x faster is another reason. I don't sit in traffic long enough to justify it.
