Your Ice Cap Tacoma looks awesome!

Install a leveling kit to remove the factory rake and it would be PERFECT.

I'm seriously debating doing that with mine too... I already have Westcott designs making some rock rails, thinking about just biting the bullet and getting their 2.5 inch leveling/pre-load kit and maybe even their roof rack.

@Mini2nut thanks, and funny enough, I have the Peak Suspension 1.25ā€ front leveling kit, but havenā€™t installed it. Wasnā€™t too sure about using it or just biting the bullet and going with a whole suspension setup like Fox or King. Iā€™m really leaning towards the latter, but probably not until late spring or summertime. Truckā€™s finally paid off now so Iā€™m saving up šŸ˜‚.

I have the 2.5 King coil overs.

Those spacer kits are just a cheap shortcut to get a lift. You wonā€˜t regret the King purchase. You will look forward to flying over speed bumps on road and whoop-de-doos off road. The suspension floats over them with no jarring and no drama. Buy once, cry once.

Did you get the kit with the rear rear shocks too? Honestly, $3k isn't even terrible considering the typical cost of preload/level kits with install ends up costing nearly $1500 or more.

My thoughts exactly! I really didnā€™t wanna do a spacer lift at all and bought these spacers just in case I had any minor rubbing. The King kit looks premium, and I definitely hate how the stock suspension sounds like itā€™s bottoming out over speed bumps, even at very low speeds.

I must be in the minority to prefer a raked truck. I think it gives an aggressive stance and obviously is better for payload, towing, and MPGs. I think the TRD Pro stance is perfect. Some day Iā€™ll look into achieving that with my OR.

Yessir. I like the raked look too. Itā€™s almost perfect the way it sits from the factory. I donā€™t mind the leveled look either, but Iā€™m glad I didnā€™t wind up needing the small spacers for the front. I still plan on swapping the suspension though at some point and probably getting a slight lift out of it. Like maybe an inch in the front and back at most.

Yes. Front coil overs, rear shocks and end links.

I think the issue is that neither of the tire shops that I went to was willing to do the swap without me having to drop off my truck (it's my only vehicle, and I was pretty far from home). I'm confident that the factory sensors would work perfectly with these wheels, and these shops saw an easy opportunity to make a bit more cash by selling me the aftermarket ones. On the plus side, I have four perfectly good OEM wheels and tires (with sensors) that I can either keep as backups or throw snow tires on. I could probably fetch a decent price for them if I decided to sell them too. Mr. Tire, the first shop I went to, was giving me the runaround, and I'd taken a few trips to that particular shop because they have one of the newer road-force balance machines (one of the only ones around here it seems). Each time I was told I'd need to reschedule or drop off my truck after having explained to them several times the work that I wanted done. They were also pushing really hard for me to get an alignment, and they got pretty rude with me after pleading for them to use my factory sensors. Some BS about it being a difficult job because they had to dismount my old tires from my old wheels... like, wouldn't you have to do that if I was just getting new tires??? I couldn't understand their reasoning at all, and it felt like an excuse. I wound up calling another shop up the street and they got them mounted up on my truck in under an hour. It ended up costing me a bit more with the purchase of the new sensors, but either way, I really didn't wanna have to go home empty handed again, and the wheels and tires seem to be balanced perfectly so far. The aftermarket TPMS have worked out just fine, so no regrets there. If you have a tire shop in your area that you trust, you know does quality work, and you ask them to swap out your original sensors, it should be no problem for them to do so. Toyota's OEM TPMS sensors are pretty pricey (I think over $100 each). Sorry for the mini rant there LOL.
I ordered the TRD Pro wheels and have been shopping tire options. Your pics really helped me to narrow down my tire size. I have a 2025 TRD OR with the factory lift and the stock tires and offset look goofy.

However your comments about using the OR TPMS sensors has now got me on that path. I am tired of mechanics BS-ing me about this or that. Once had a dealer tell me the TPMS indicator on the vehicle used Honda Civic my daughter bought from them was because the previous owner put Accord wheels and there answer was to sell me the Civic wheels. When I installed universal TPMS sensors on the accord wheels and told them about it, their heads exploded. Still cost me $450 for those sensors and I want to avoid that. Guess Ill be googling pics of the two sensors to see if they are full of it.
