Ok, here’s a question that I’ve never seen asked but here goes. Every single day, I have to clean the bird crap off both front doors. I have cardinals and the peck in the front side windows and crap all over the truck. But they never crap in the back doors. I’m wondering if it’s because the rear windows have darker tint. Do you thinking tinting the front windows would solve this problem?

You could get some black paper, or even a black trash bag and put it on the inside of the front windows (obviously on a day when you're not driving the truck). If they don't bother the truck, then your answer is darker tint. Or maybe fake snakes. Birds hate snakes.

Do something to repel the birds?

Fake owl, hanging shiny things like CDs, etc.

I can try that but I think it’s the glass. They do it to my house windows also.

Do you get a lot of bugs smashed on the back surface of the mirrors? They may be pecking the bugs off. I have noticed some birds love the front grills of our vehicles because of all of the bugs plastered all over them here in rural California. Try cleaning off the back of the mirrors and see if that helps.

When I lived in Ohio there was one window in my pole barn that birds did that to every spring. It was darker than the other windows, so I think they were seeing their reflections and defending their territory. I'm not sure how to prevent that other than to cover the windows with something non-reflecting. Good luck.

Yeah - always more where that one came from anyway. When it wasn't a cardinal it was a robin or a jay.

It's horny bird season - kind of reminds me of my teenage years. :)

Same problem here. They are attracted by the mirrors. I fold mine in when I leave the truck. Had a G3 but never had this problem until the G4. Go figure.
