Can I have the hour back it took to find out these seat covers are crap?

Another member recommended these seat covers from Amazon. I figured, ok, inexpensive, but might be worth it.

Turns out, nope. Total crap with bad fitment that just looks frumpy.

I didn’t buy seat covers so I could tear into my seats, potentially breaking them or the various connection points underneath. The instructions ask you to dissemble the rear of your front seats so their product works. I get it, but there’s no instructions for doing that included. I’m not one who’ll just tear the seat out of my brand new truck for some cheap Chinese garbage seat covers.

I know some of you will say “what’s the big deal”. Feel free to pick these up and have a good time. This message isn’t for you.

To nobody’s surprise, they aren’t leather. Lol

I ordered these also after the member recommendation. Got the Neoprene model.. the rear set fit perfect, the front set was not made for TH. Ended up returning the front set. Installation definitely required some dissection of the fronts and I wasn’t happy with that either. Quality seems great, rear covers fit great.

I’d probably be willing to give it another shot if I wasn’t guessing at how to undo the rear flap on the front seats. I can feel some stretchy material going to an attachment point, but I’m not 5 inches tall and can’t see the location. I’d rather not guess and screw it up.

Different strokes, but I love my EKRs. First seat was difficult getting the rear flap off, but once I figured it out took 15 mins for the 2nd one. Fit perfect on mine.

And how did you manage getting that flap off? Before trying it again, it would be nice to have a sense for how they come undone. Unfortunately, no instruction on YouTube, the internet, or here.

It's basically the same mechanism that the seat covers are. It's a hook on the bottom of the seat and there's a loop of nylon on the flap that's just stretched across the hook. I had to feel for it and pull the loop of nylon loose. After that it was easy sailing.

I have EKRs "leather" seat covers and they fit perfect over the base model cloth seats. They are a pain to install and probably took over 2 hours. Only thing that didn't fit properly was the center arm rest cover. I bought JDMCAR center console cover on amazon and was surprised how well it fits.

Looks like the nylon straps in my truck are shorter than yours. There’s literally no give. I tried with the included tucking “tool” to stretch it under a lot of force and they simply won’t stretch far enough to unloop around the hook. I’m too old for this S**t. Oh well. Back to China they go.

Oh mine were tight as hell, and my hands had the cuts to prove it. But you can pull them off with enough effort and moving them to the side.

They are definitely a hard install but most seat covers require you to hook under the seat which sucks... I have the EKR's they look nice but a pain in the ass to put on... I had to feel under the seat for the loop and try to unhook it... My backs were not the best fitting after pulling off the fabric for the velcro they started tearing at my seat fabric so I ended up not velcro-ing them and just left them loose... They look good but nobody sits back there

I'm really happy with the seat covers from Westerner Seat Covers in Calgary.
This is my 3rd vehicle with them and both my 4runner and F150 the covers last 15 years. The new ones have improved materials and especially the mounting straps. Valarie did a great job designing them for me.

I got SRS compatible simple covers. The plastic molding on the seats said SRS so I assumed it was like another vehicle we had where you are not supposed to cover that. I went with an as needed setup.

What I got might not fit everyone's aesthetic but I'm super happy. They not only work well but if really dirty they are simple to wash. Then I have the comfort of the bare seats when I'm also clean. These are nicer than neoprene type to handle and for comfort.



For back seat I have a simple cheap coated nylon cover that works in other vehicles too. They all stow under the rear seat which would or cold be an issue for hybrid owners.

Again, maybe not the look some might want but the all of it was cheap, really effective including easily machine washable.

Sooooo.... I love mine. I did make a hook "tool" out of a coat hanger to unsecure and then re-secure the under seat flap.

I've had these for 5 months now and they are holding up very well. Seat heaters still work great.

One piece of advice I read (and didn't believe but it's TRUE) is to set aside at least one hour per seat to install.

I am not a patient person and when I first got these I thought "piece of cake, I'll knock this out in 20 minutes)...nope....they are difficult to install.

Take your time, stretch and stretch the material and you will have OEM looking seat covers.
