With this winter dumping snow everyday im sure there are many new Taco owners experiencing new features they may never had….
Not trying to make a dig, i know a lot of guys have asked about 4Weel high, low, and crawl. To many a new experiance, ive had these features for long time, at some point i take for granted ,however i understand this is new and exciting to many…its great getting to learn and play with our new truck features……any great moments to share ? Me i actually went out on my property, purposely backed down into deep ditch, and used crawl, I also enjoyed my rear locker as well as using my “SBD “ FEATURE”. That was a very nice thing to experiance and happy i have it ……My 2014 4 Runner had lockers, and the KDSS system. I was happy with that but this SBD system is impressive …

Here's an odd one: right before Christmas, my wife and I went up the canyon to cut a Christmas tree. I parked in about a foot of snow. It felt fine pulling in with 4 Hi engaged.

When we had our tree loaded, we got in, and I quickly found we were stuck. I put it in low. Still stuck. Engaged the locker. Nothing. Crawl control. Still stuck. WTF???

And that's when I noticed the dash indicated the parking brake was set–I had not engaged it. I disengaged and drove out in 4 Hi.

File that one away.

You have to buckle up and shut the door. Or it will not move.

That's good to know, thanks for that one!
The first time I tried to back up with the driver's door open threw me for a moment or two...sort of a pain.
I also had the truck go crazy when my wife got out to move the garbage can out of the way while it was in front of the truck. It wouldn't move and was screaming at me...until I put it back in park and back into drive.
I do understand why the systems are in place but sometimes I think to myself.....REALLY? LOL

It throws the parking brake on. But I think you can take off the parking brake after the door is open and drive.

I believe that is done for safety, however if you take your hands off the steering wheel while using adaptive cruise controls and they are off the steering wheel too long then it will keep going but it will not steer it for you or slow down for vehicles ahead. So good luck if you have a medical issue. My sister drives another brand and in that condition it slows down and pulls off the road to a stop.

The manual says it will stop the vehicle.
It hasn’t stopped either one of mine yet so I’ll give it a little longer and see.

Dang. I had a button for the gas door on the Land Cruiser but there's no button for Limited. Just push in and it pops open.
At least I have a gas cap so I can always put a locking gas cap on it if I ever get concerned about someone being malicious.
