My TRD PRO has "Heads up" display which I like but it only has few display options.
I had a 5th gen Camaro with "Heads up" display and it has a lot of display options.
Do other Tacoma models have "Heads up" display?
For those with this option, "How do you like it"?

I like it! I wish I could see my turn directions on it when using google maps in CarPlay, but that’s not really a big deal. My phones right there so I’m good. However, this is the first time I’ve ever had a HUD period so I also just don’t know what I’m missing feature wise in general. What sorts of stuff were you able to change on your Camaro? Fonts? Size? All the info on there?

I really like having the current speed limit right there easy to see. Like the poster above me, I wish it would show Android Auto/Car Play next direction on it. There are a few options you can add to it but it's not many.

You can move it up or down, left or right.
You can brighten it or dim it.
You can choose to show traffic signs one other thing I think. Can't remember
What other options are there?

I could pretty much put the whole gauge cluster on HUD.
Is yours a PRO?

The HUD will show turn-by-turn directions if you use Apple Maps. They are quite handy.

I’ve also enabled the lane departure notifications, but only because they look cool — kind of like the x-wing targeting reticles in Star Wars.

My truck is only the second vehicle I have owned with a HUD and the other is my wife's SUV, so I only drive it occasionally.

I love mine. I'm sure it is not as customizable or advanced as some expensive car's HUDs, but it gives me just what I need to see and right in my line of vision. I seldom need to look at the actual instrument display and I love the navigation prompts displayed where they are easy to see.

Just realized that my 25 Pro does not have HUD. I didnt even think about checking for it before I bought it yesterday.

@BearTacos Wow - I think that is seriously strange. Why would Toyota remove any feature from one of the halos?
I have no idea honestly. I didnt even remember it was supposed to have HUD until it was mentioned by another member in a thread I was reading today. I walked out to get owners manual to turn it on and the display isn't there. I just bought the truck yesterday afternoon.

Well, you still got a beautiful truck and I think you will love it.

This is my first vehicle with a HUD and really like it. It's not like removing that let Toyota make a Pro more affordable for a lot of buyers.

Thanks, yeah I doubt I'd even use it. I'm coming from a 2019 F350 Limited as a DD. This truck will see 120k miles over the next 5yrs. It'll go out west / Canada 3-4x yearly for hunting trips. I think it fits the bill nicely. Looks sick af too

@BearTacos Sounds like you picked the perfect truck for what you plan to do with it. I love a lot of stuff about my truck, but one of my top likes is how great it looks.
