Yes. Park where there are lines so you can check alignment.
I have a Limited so my OEM grill may be different than yours. I am planning on using the 3d printed file that Gurvy522 uploaded, which I assume is near identical to the Rave bracket. Do I need tech stream or is all this adjusting able to be done by me in the infotainment?

Also, you previously mention you only can save once. What happens after that? How do you do it again if you ever need to?

You should be able to get back in alignment with this in vehicle settings. The in vehicle settings allow you to adjust up and down. The amount of adjustment up or down will depend on your car. It is for fine tuning in case of misalignment due to manufacturing variations. Kind of like how you can adjust the different video position adjustments on a computer monitor.

After the one save you will need to use a tool and reprogram the camera system If you want to adjust again.

So take your time in a spot with plenty of lines for referencing.

Was really wanting to pull the trigger on the trail hunter grille but this thread has me thinking maybe not. Def don’t like all the chrome on the limited. Already changed door handles to matte black and paint match mirrors. Have the chrome lower piece replacement ordered for black. Plastic dipped the limited and Tacoma decals. The grille is my last item but now worried.

I can confirm the OEM Heritage Grill fits the limited. I just did the swap. I 3d printed the camera bracket, although I believe others use the Rave Bracket.

I do need to adjust the front camera using the Service Menu shown in previous posts in this thread. To my understanding, you only get 1 shot on adjustments. And considering I plan on taking off my bumper again to possibly add a light bar, I want to adjust the cameras after I don't plan on removing the bumper any further.

I'm still trying to figure out how to reset this 1-time adjustment thing so I can adjust again in the future. Nobody seems to have that info.

Also, do yo have the part number for that lower chrome piece on the bumper? Looking to get swap it to black.

Which fang lights did you go with? Also did you get a lightbar for the grill or no? I chose not to, but only because most I were finding where like $450+ and that just too much for me to barely use it.

I adjusted my front camera via the on board diagnostic service menu. I adjusted it +165 while parked in a place where there were lines and it all lined up. Although for some reason the view adjustment button is now greyed out and I can’t access it anymore.

Once you adjust and save it, you need to reprogram the circumference monitoring system again to readjust it.
I used the bracket but didn’t flip my camera (rave style) because I didn’t have a way to change the camera to upside down. I think the problem with that is the camera is not symmetrical so it ends up too skewed-exactly like gurvey said…. This can’t be a matter of adjustment, I gotta do what he did and physically flip it a tech stream it.

For those who have done the Camera Adjustment in the diagnostic menu, and now have it greyed out...

Can you check what shows under the "Camera Detection Setting" on that same menu?

I believe that the "Circumference Monitoring System" is camera-based, and *maybe* there's something in there for it. I'd love to avoid the whole Global Techstream Plus route if I can.

@Gurvy522 , where did you learn about the need to reset the Circumference Monitoring System? Perhaps we can do more digging there for the reset procedures. TIS manuals, perhaps?

Also, @rijc99 , where did you learn about this diagnostic menu? Also TIS manuals? My old GX470 had a similar menu and I was never certain where people originally learned how to access it either. It was just tribal knowledge by the time I learned it from others.

Thanks!

53931-AK010 = matte black, fog lights, no parking sensors
53931-AK020 = matte black, no fog lights, no parking sensor cutouts
53931-AK030 = chrome Limited trim, fogs, parking sensor cutouts
53931-AK040 = TRD Pro only, restricted purchasing in place (glossy black w/fog w/sensor cutouts)
53931-AK050 = matte black, with fog, with sensor cutouts
53931-AK060 = Parts Dept said system has nothing except that it's only associated to the lowest trim level

Also, the non-reusable ring around the sensor is:
89348-04010-C1 for black
89348-04010-B3 for titanium (the color used on the Limited chrome and why its a touch darker)

I bought the 050 with the c1 black sensor rings and an having a local paint shop color match it to my body color
