The only time I can get the "AC 120V" switch to light up and then have power at the the outlet in my bed is when the engine is running. As soon as I turn off the engine, the "AC 120V" light switch goes off and the power is off at the outlet. In page 454 of the owners manual, it does call out that the hybrid system must be running in order for the power outlets to be used.Question - seems simple enough but maybe I'm missing something... to turn on the inverter the truck has to be started, correct?
I know the engine cycles on/off but when you start the truck you have everything inside (HVAC, HUD, display, etc) on...
So in order to power something from the bed, is it essentially necessary to start the truck, turn a bunch of stuff off, turn the inverter on, and then basically wait for the engine to cycle off and on as needed?
I really wish I could use the power outlet without the engine running, just pulling from the hybrid batteries.
