How to fit 3rd gen wheels on 4th gen Tacoma?

One more thing. My Firestone MT2 255/75/17 tires tread width is actually a little wider than the oem 265/70/17. Not sure how that works, but someone is fibbing.

That's crazy but I guess that lines up with others..the commonly used BFG KO2 is well known to run smaller than most in the same exact size.

Your finding that width fact makes me want the 255 75 even more now. If the Nokian Outpost nAT are same width or a touch wider than factory I'll be happy. Plus their listed weight is 43lbs...certainly heavier than factory but not drastically so. I do wish Nokian made them in a 255 80 but what can ya do.

Funny you ask. Showed up in the mail today. This solution is not my first choice, but acceptable until I can find black.

I sure put a lot of unnecessary effort into black lug nuts. I’m probably the only one who will notice they are chrome. I do have the rest of the black caps coming in the mail.

Looks sick man! Nothing wrong with putting in the extra effort for something you want.
My truck finally arrived and so far I've kept the oem TRD OR wheels but did upgrade tires..hat tip to you Sir as I went with the 255 75 17 true 32

Stock wheels with Nokian Outpost nAT 255 75 17.
Another bonus of this size is that it fits on the spare wheel and tucks up in there far better than any 33".
The 'convenience spare' tire that comes on these trucks is laughable. C'mon Toyota it's a TRD Offroad!
Also to note is my milage is reading 21 mpg or 11.2L/100km with 6MT, albeit with only 1000 km on the truck so early days.
Pardon the dust, I've been on gravel roads most of this week.

I’ve talked to them. They couldn’t get black at this time. Only chrome. But thanks. I’m sure someone will have them soon.

It does say available in black or chrome. I’m assuming that they are sourcing them from “somewhere” and then marking them up to a stupid price. Makes me think these lug nuts would have to be available elsewhere.
