I really like my Victory 4x4 molle panels. I have the back and one side. The passenger side doesn't need drilling, so that's the one side I installed. I also have the Victory 4x4 front skid plate, and I'm eagerly waiting for their winch bumper.

The driver side panel requires drilling? I hadn't seen that, bit of a letdown

Yeah, driver side is totally blank. No storage box to use the bolts of. Bed is composite though, drills way easy.

Wouldn't it make sense to use the bed rails as the mounting medium?

If you watch the install video it's really not that big of a deal for the three drilled holes. As soon as I have a need for it, I'll be getting an additional side panel for the drivers side.

My guess is people who maybe lease who may not be sure they are looking to own it, are looking for full bolt on and removable options without modification on the vehicle

I wonder on the driver side of there was attached rubber blocks / padding on the bottom to support it you wouldn't need to drill them in. Thek being supported on the rail at the top should be enough . That's how I'd design it anyway

I'd say don't install the driver side panel then. I think most, like ours, are drill only.

I'm not bashing, just stating different ways these could be designed.

Does your passenger side and front cab peice work if there's an OEM tonneau cover?

So you can just install ours that way if you wanted to source the rubber bumpers, and it's a method we've used before, but depending on weight on the panel it can vibrate.

As long as the rails don't get moved down for the cover. I don't believe they do this on the OEM taco cover.

Unfortunately that is the case from the OEM cover. Side rails are lowered. Perhaps the rear isn't will have to further inspect.
