I think we are good for 3 yrs with the app.Guess I’ll be buying a proper 2-way remote start system with a better range soon.
What do you mean,"I think we are good for 3 yrs with the app"?I think we are good for 3 yrs with the app.
Mine’s the same. So you never know if it’s running.just curious -- Every car/truck that I've owned with auto-start, keeps the parking lights on with remote start except the Tacoma, or am I the only one that's happening to? lol
Canadian's get a 3 year trial for all features for the connected services. What do you mean,"I think we are good for 3 yrs with the app"?
WOW!!! Three years! Not bad!!!Canadian's get a 3 year trial for all features for the connected services.
For the money we Canadians pay for these trucks, the app should be free for life. But it seems I'm on a 24 month trade in cycle, so maybe I won't end up paying.WOW!!! Three years! Not bad!!!
I am able to resume the steering wheel heater when leaving on before shutoff, but not my seats. When I remote start from the app, seats don't resume.
Yup, same here.
yall are probably right then. i dont use the seat/steering wheel heater but my wife does. i read on TW that it would resume the seats as well.I think the seats only stay constant in non remote start ignitions.
You could've fixed That in your privacy settings.I cancelled my trials in the dealership parking lot cause I didn't want Toyota sending all of my data to all these 3rd party entities, especially insurance.
It literally asks you the first time you connect the app yes or no. You have to complete the page before it works. Couldn't be easier. You could've fixed That in your privacy settings.
Privacy settings should automatically be disabled giving us the option to enable it if we want.
Just like having to opt out of sharing personal information with third parties from any company we do business with. Fill this form out or call this number every freaking time.
How many people are driving around not knowing that Toyota is sharing their driving habits with insurance companies etc. etc.
Unless you hit the SOS button to completely opt out and turn data sharing off, you're still allowing them to collect data. Hell, they're still probably doing it then too.It literally asks you the first time you connect the app yes or no. You have to complete the page before it works. Couldn't be easier.
They got sued by the CFPB and are extremely gun shy about stuff like thisUnless you hit the SOS button to completely opt out and turn data sharing off, you're still allowing them to collect data. Hell, they're still probably doing it then too.
I did the same. I wanted to get get remote start setup and I did miss one setting to opt out.I guess I missed that when i opened the app because I was stressing from trying to get the whole damn thing to connect and work. I forgot the trick is to delete the app and reinstall it.
Still drove an hour and a half home without the Trial of the connected services working.
The next morning I got in a truck and started it up and it was all working. No issues downloading the key.
Then there's that long sticker just above the AC controls it tell you if you wanna opt out to press the SOS button. I did that and nothing happened. Did it for a few seconds and of course it started to connect to emergency services.
