That's weird, I purchased my TRD Off road on Thursday afternoon, and only took me about 5 minutes to add it to my progressive policy.

Same here. I traded in a 14 year old Tundra and there was no doubt that my insurance would go up. But another large factor was that car insurance in Virginia went up by about 25% on average year over year. So between the two my insurance increase was huge, but not totally unexpected.

I'm about to pick up my new Tacoma and I couldn't be more excited. I know there's a huge sticker shock but it is what it is. I wanted to ask what people were paying for car insurance. I live in Texas and I just got quoted $251 a month for full coverage (up from $144 on my 2016 Tacoma). Is anyone else seeing this huge increase for car insurance?!

I've got the iForce Max TRD OR and I pay 570 every 6 mo. They charge a little more for hybrids.

Good to know State Farm is somewhat consistent. 53yr male with discounts @ $68mo.

One of the reasons I purchased the truck is the additional cost adding my son when he turns 16 will be around $150mo.(with the good grades discount). That's super low in terms of full coverage in our area for a new male driver.
