Hi everyone, I have a limited non-hybrid. I am wondering how is the LIMITED Hybrid Max full-time 4WD? Curious about daily use, dry, rain and snow. Thanks.

I love mine. We haven't had any proper snow events but we did get about 3 inches the other day. I went out and tried like hell to break the tires loose but couldn't do it.

Love mine. Will take Toyota F4WD any day. Handled the multiple snow storms we got like a champ and didn't slip at all when needing to get by other risky vehicles or transitioning from thick unplowed to packed unplowed to slush to cleared roads. So far I've never felt traction slip and have me pause for concern be it snow, ice, rain, or dry.

That said, I also practice appropriate driving for the given condition and adjust My speed, acceleration, and spacing accordingly. Too many no longer have an understanding or training on what proper driving is for a given condition.

So traction and handling - win all day so far. Claimed MPG - no where close.

Is everyone running the Primacies or the Generals? Or have you upgraded the tires?

Mine is great in all conditions. Very sure footed and it handles snow very well so far.

I couldn't hold out for the hybrid and got the TRD Sport thinking to trade it in in a couple years. What is the posted mpg & what are you getting?

EPA is 24-24-24 for the Limited MAX.
On my 5th tank. Here is MPG for each one (manually calculated based on gallons refilled vs miles driven since last refill).
19.87
19.36
20.54
18.35

I find the hybrid system gets used a lot less when its below freezing outside 9thus providing less fuel economy), has anyone else noticed this behavior?

Any info on whether the 4WD system will put up with different size tires ?

On my wife's AWD Highlander, an unrepairable flat means I have to purchase four new tires because they can't be more than 2/32 different. Big $.

Don't have that problem with my 2nd gen Tacoma with old school part-time 4WD.
