There are likely others on this site more qualified to answer the lift question. My experience does not match what I’ve read. I’ve measured the front end difference between the TRD OR and TrailHunter @ 2”, hub center to bottom of fender flare.Do you know how much lift is on the PRO and TH versus the Sport and OR? MT-Taco is correct., +25 with 8.5” width is now available At the time I purchased, the +12 17x 8” was the only option. The 8” wheel vs 8.5” makes a slight difference as well.
If I’m not mistaken, the TH wheel is +20? Atleast that’s how mine are stamped.
These are the only pics that might help. Sorry, I don’t have a good straight on picture showing the poke. There was very little difference between the stock tire/wheel

1/4 inch more wheel poke. I’m willing to bet if you had an 8 mounted across from and 8.5 you wouldn’t notice a difference. 11 inch or wider tire go with the 8.5? Narrower go with 8? Just my opinion.. According to what I read, the Fox suspension on the Pro adds 2” lift, the TrailHunter OME suspension adds 2.5” lift.
My experience was the opposite, with the Pro having slightly more lift. It was a noticeable difference to me.
The automaker has equipped the TRD Pro with TRD-tuned FOX QS3 shocks that offer a 2-inch lift and adjustable compression stiffness, combined with reinforced rocker protection for high-speed runs and jumps. It also comes with Toyota’s multi-terrain select, crawl control, a locking rear differential, and a front stabilizer bar disconnect, making it versatile for driving in different conditions.
Toyota has built the Trailhunter for overlanding with its Old Man Emu 2.5-inch monotube suspension, which increases load-carrying capacity and impact absorption on long journeys.

Have you looked at the Nitto Terra Grappler G3’s? They are 48#s I believe and also are a 3 peak rated tire. I’ve got a set on order and should have them on the truck next week.Any updates on MPG's?
Looks like a winning combination.
When you get right down to it there aren't all that many good AT tires available in the sub 50lbs range in this size, especially with 3pms winter rating.
These and the Nokian Outpost nAT are both on my shortlist.

What wheel are you running? Looks great.Yes, they will fit. Brake caliper clearance is not an issue. I ran these (1500 mile) on my TrailHunter for a hunting trip in November.

Hi! New here and just got my 2025 TRD OR last month…first ever new truck!RRW replied and changed the order to Bronzeordered Nokian outpost NAT’s 285/70/17’s. (SL 46lbs) Unfortunately the wheels won’t be here until February… that should put me at about 66lbs total wheel and tire weight?
I couldn’t decide between the Baja Boss or the Nokian’s either? Went with the Nokian’s as a sure bet for winter roads. Got them last fall and they didn’t disappoint.Hi! New here and just got my 2025 TRD OR last month…first ever new truck!
Did you install the Nokian Outpost nATs and if so how are they so far? I’m looking at them too… it’s between those and the MT Baha BossAT , and the Nitto Terra Grappler G3… all similar weight in load C.
OPs truck looks amazing and I love the look of those RR matte bronze! Although I’m thinking Method 703s for the bead grip tech. RR don’t have that do they?
My dilemma with tires and research so far…
MT Baha Boss AT:
- most proven (out since 2020)
- best looking aggressive sidewalls
- good at pretty much everything it sounds like. Would like to see some scientific snow/ice tests though?
Nitto Terra Grapper G3
- very good in wet and dry handling on road
- next best looking sidewalls imo
- bad snow and ice handling (see Tire Racks YouTube test figures), which is a deal breaker living in BC Canada mountains; unless I get a Nokian Hakka winter set which might be worth it anyway
Nokian Outpost nATs
- least proven (2025 tire along with the Nitto but there is more testing data on the Nitto)
- very highly regarded by Tyre reviews YouTube channel in Utah conditions (but no test figures yet) in snow and ice
- aramid sidewalls and pothole protection
- least good looking sidewall haha
- cheapest
So…. Nokians would be the smartest choice I think as a 4 season tire, I just don’t like the looks as much as the others lol. Otherwise the other 2 would be great 3 season tires if I switch to winter tires which is the smart thing to do anyway for winter mountain highway roadtrips.
Open to opinions and feedback on the Baha boss and other tires….
