Hey everyone!

I decided to creat an account here to get some info and join in the discussion as I contemplate trading my 2020 TRD Sport for a 2024 TRD Sport Hybrid. Test drove a few recently and was really impressed with the hybrid power train. My brother in law just got 2024 Sport non-hybrid and thatā€™s what got me looking. Such a good looking truck and there are a lot of improvements. I really like my 2020, so Iā€™m still on the fence, but if I find the right truck at the right price Iā€™ll have one in the driveway. Looking forward to joining the community here!

I traded in my 2016. I've got 5,000 on my new ride and think Toyota hit it out of the park. I've had all four generations of the Tacomas, each a step above the previous generation, but this one is much more than a step. It's yards above the third gens.

I toyed with a hybrid, but didn't want the extra complexity and cost. I went with an OR with the Premium package and can't say enough about it.

I had a 2008, 2016, 2017, and now the 2020. Iā€™ve loved them all and itā€™ll be hard to let go of my 2020. But I am impressed with what Iā€™ve seen of the 4th gen. Seems like Toyota really took note of the complaints of prior gens and really put out a great truck. That premium package is LOADED with features!

You may have regrets from jumping to a 24, but it wont be about the truck. lol you will love it.
That first line had me worried for a second!šŸ˜‚

My brother in law is loving his and has nothing but good things to say about it!

I jumped from a 3rd Gen 2019 to a 2024. Zero regrets.

The improved driver ergonomics and smooth 8-speed tranny alone are worth the jump.
The transmission was the first thing I commented on during the first test drive. The shifts were so smooth and never felt like it was in the wrong gear.

The 6-speed gearbox in my 2019 was extremely annoying. Two software updates did zilch to eliminate the constant gear hunting.
