OEM tonneau cover not covering gap

The gaskets don’t cover the corner gap at the tailgate…. Is this normal?

No you mounted it too far up towards the cab.

Bring it back a little. I had to do that as well as add some weatherstripping on all 4 corners

I'll look into that, I thought I had it pulled back as far as I could without the extruded aluminum not interfering with the tailgate. But I had just used the molded plastic tops to determine that. I'll see if I can move it back more and hopefully that'll span that gap to keep water out.

Would any of you that have installed the OEM cover post a photo of the corners at the tailgate so I can see what it looks like in proper position?

Here is mine. I have been through 4-5 car washes and 2 torrential downpours with zero water getting in. I even have a printer sitting in the back by the tailgate plugged into the AC outlet. Never had a drop on it.

Your cover is definitely back farther than mine. I'll have to see if I can get mine back. Thanks for the photo.
