Maybe a dumb question but I didn't look into this for my current truck, and I'm considering it for the 2024 model. So production happens and the truck will have the stock wheels. The TRD black wheel upgrade costs something like $1325 on the configurator, but if you have this done post-production do they give you the stock wheels as well since you paid for the truck with them? This is the piece I'm struggling with, I can see paying extra for the black rims but it's not like the stock wheels are free. They've been paid for in the cost, so unless I get to keep them I don't see how it can be that expensive. Anyone that has detail on how Toyota/the dealers handle this, could you explain?
Also, while I'm at it, I see people talking about a black out package but it's not on the configurator/build page. Is that one of those special packages you can ask the dealer to do? What's the cost for that, if anyone has it handy? Trying to figure out if there's any cost advantage to doing the whole thing.
