Didn't see the evidence. Must have missed that in the thread. But with the transmission issues it doesn't seem too normal.
Maybe not. It just seems super minor in my case and thus maybe tied to regenerative braking and not transmission issues is what I meant. You’re outside the TSB range so that (in my mind) points to something other than transmission. Could be totally wrong.

Wanted to post here. Had my TH for a few weeks got around 1200 miles on.

I feel a slight shudder or rumble strip sensation when slowly coming to a stop. (intermittent, not every time) I remember feeling this early on in ownership. It's not every time, and if I break hard, I dont feel it, only when i ease into the stop.

I'm outside the range. I _think_ its the hybrid system, like the regen engaging/disengaging or something, but i dont know. never had a hybrid before.

It could be the transition from regen braking to regular braking, although Toyota normally does this better than anyone else in their hybrids. I have driven several Toyota hybrids but I have never owned one before either. It can be very noticeable in some brands and generates a lot of complaints.

Braking hard might be the key, because that probably shifts straight into the hydraulic brakes and never does regen at all. I know a lot of people report that shudder and it would be interesting to see if it is only with hybrid powertrains.

Hybrid owner here. I’m not sure if this is what you’re feeling, but when slowly coming to a stop, usually right before I actually stop, I can feel it downshift through second, then first. Subtle but noticeable under the right conditions, and in-line with some other autos I’ve driven. No transmission issues (or any others for that matter) to report at 6.5K miles so far.
Agreed. non hybrid owner, almost 6 weeks ownership 2300km. Can't say I noticed it earlier but have noticed the downshift into 1st as I "feather" the stop. I can replicate it under the correct conditions in all modes. No other shifting issues, all else quite smooth really be it up/downshifts as it goes about its business. I know its the shift into 1st because if I manually drive it in 1st and then feather the stop, there is none/never any of that bumping or shudder others report, and if I stop it slightly more aggressively none of the downshifting occurs. Part of it is also the computer learning your driving style. I'm not in the TSB range, but who knows really.
Gonna enjoy it as it's been pretty faultless otherwise, parts and accessories coming/installed. What I do know is that Toyota will make it right at the end of the day, they always have done so. No reason to think they won't.
Others are complaining and getting super upset, justly so but hey, regardless Toyota is till more reliable than many and willing to step up. Can't say that about too many other manufacturers.
