2025 TRD Pro White/Red on order
I have a 2025 TRD Pro in Ice Cap/Cockpit Red on order through the local Toyota dealership. It's been a process trying to get this truck and finally happy to have one locked in. I'm still not going to believe it until I have the keys in my hand :)

I have been wanting a TRD Pro since about '21 or '22 but the dealership never really wanted to work with me to try and purchase one and then once the redesign was announced I decided to hold off to get the new body style which at this point I'm glad I did. Yes, the new ones are more expensive but I also think you are getting a lot more for your money with the new one, so the increase in price is kind of justified in my mind.

I ended up going with a concierge service through CarEdge which so far hasn't been a bad experience as I haven't really had to do a lot on my end. It was $1000 and they do all the work to get you what you want and guarantee you will save at least that much with them or it's free . I started this whole process in July 2024 and he was able to get me exactly what I wanted from my local dealer without any add ons or any BS fees. Well 2024 came and went without a word until around December when he gave me a call and told me they had an allocation and I should be receiving around March. A day after that I get a call from the dealer saying that another dealer took their allocation from them so I lost the truck. Well 2 more months go by without any word and I finally get an email that he was able to get one for me but it had a lot of port installed accessories he was trying to get removed and he got it done with the build I wanted. It already has a VIN so not 100% sure what that means at this point as I am still waiting for an ETA but he did say that this one is locked in and has my name on it.

My build was a TRD Pro in Ice Cap/Cockpit Red with Spray in Bed liner, Integrated Dashcam, and Bed Scene Lighting. I've been on the fence about adding the Rigid Yellow/White Fog lights for $700 but I just can't seem to justify the cost of those.

Since I started this process, I was already getting a list together of accessories/mods I wanted to do to the truck and this is what I have so far.
  1. BAK Revolver X4S Tonneau Cover
  2. Cali Raised Step Edition Rock Sliders with Kick Out
  3. Tufskinz Reflective Tailgate Inserts
  4. Ark Splash guards (Thanks to Tacoma4g.com !!!)
  5. Rigid Reverse lights for ARB bumper from SPV (Another thanks to T4G!!!)
  6. Full Ceramic Window Tint
  7. MESO Customs interior LED light upgrade
  8. Set of Ditch lights-still researching that
  9. Debating whether it's worth upgrading the tires as I don't really want E Load Rated tires as this will be my daily driver and I don't plan on doing a lot of off roading(as of right now :))

I just want to say hello and thank you to everyone here who has posted as this seems like one of the best Tacoma forums out there as there is a wealth of information and I will try to help out where I can once I get up to speed on everything.

2025 TRD Pro White/Red on order
Just got an update yesterday that my truck should be built sometime around the March 26th. So if the information I have gathered from this forum I should have it sometime around early to mid May. Please let me know if my guess-a-mation is off or not.

I went ahead and purchased the @Cali Raised LED Rock slider Step Edition so hopefully they will be here by the time I get the truck! I plan on making a few more purchases for the truck before it arrives.

Should I keep posting updates here or start a build/Journal thread? Not sure what would be best at this point.

Hey @Mightyquinn, welcome to the family! You are so going to love that Pro, maybe even more than you expect. My truck is far and away the best truck I have ever owned and I just feel lucky to have snagged one.

I think that you can just keep on posting in this thread as the process goes along, with progress and questions. A separate thread on your build would be nice though once that gets going.

The wait will seem forever but you will be so happy once you get those keys in your hand.

Also look at the DB HD cover - love mine. I also love running my rigids in yellow 24/7 so that I can see all the Baja dust in my urban neighborhood.

on a serious note - do the upgrades slowly to spread out the fun and learn your truck as you make mods and changes etc - also I would upgrade tires before anything else or at least plan that part for when the wranglers shit the bed

My 2024 PRO came with what I believe are every port option available. Didn't love paying up for Rigid fog lights, bed screen lights, door edge guards, mud flaps, bed liner, phone charging cords, and maybe a couple others. When I finally found one without a "Market adjustment" it was a "buyers can't be choosers" situation.
I justify it by doing self therapy like... I'm 70 years old, waited my whole life for a TRD PRO, etc.
In the end I like all the add ons. It's one PHAT Tacoma.
You only live once and can't take it with friends.

Thanks for the advice and I have been waiting since July of last year so a few more months won't kill me :)

How waterproof has it been?

Also look at the DB HD cover - love mine. I also love running my rigids in yellow 24/7 so that I can see all the Baja dust in my urban neighborhood.

Those DB look like quality covers but I'm wanting something I can easily remove or move out of the way. I didn't get the Rigid white/yellow fog lights as it was an extra $700 and not sure how much I would use the yellow light.

There are a few that I definitely want to get done ASAP and then I will ease into as I go. The more I am here the more crap I find that I want to add to my truck :) As for the tires, that's a tough one as I don't really need any E Load tires but I would like to upgrade to a 275 or 285 but that limits my options for SL or C load. I'm willing to wait to see what else come available.
