I am picking up a Cap with the obvious downer that the digital rear view mirror is going to become pretty pointless.
I saw that someone relocated the rearview camera from the back of the cab to a mount but it struck me that we might have something different we could do that wouldn't exactly give us the same sort of view, but could be somewhat helpful.
I was wondering if it would be possible to use a splitter on the tailgate output and switch the connection for the cab backup camera to the split connector so it is now feeding the tailgate camera. If the camera is also powered through the same set of cables I assume it would be necessary to remove the power and ground for the feed that is going to the mirror.
Any thoughts on this being feasible?
