Sweet, been a part of 2 of these.

2024 Tacoma being #1 in NA for small truck sales.

2022 Corolla SE being #1 vehicle sold in the world in 2022:

2024 Tacoma Tacoma is #1 small pickup in America for the 20th consecutive year 1735935592128-t

On one side, first year production always lags prior years because manufacturers aren’t able to produce at normal volume for first 6 months or so. Secondly, high interest rates and vehicle costs hurt just about all manufacturers.

No, no, this must be a mistake because it doesn't line up with the YouTube bottom feeders narrative.
Fake news!!

I think someone got their categories mixed up. Yes, in previous generations going back to the 80s and 90s, Tacoma and the “Pickup” were “small” but even Toyota has been marketing them as midsized now just as they did when Rangers used to be small and now built on the same platform as the Bronco. I think the confusion lies in the fact that Tacoma is the smaller version of the Tundra with nothing smaller than that.

The 3rd gen sold nearly identical numbers in 2016. They also got a decent head start in 2015. So, the 4th gen didn’t do terrible.

Now, does someone know what sold actually means? Sold to a distributor or an end user?

A roll out year is always tough and the 4th gen is not your normal update. I had a 2005 Tacoma, the first year for the second gen. It was pretty much all new from the 1st gen, but the very last 2023 Tacoma had many of the bones of my truck.

But in 2024 Toyota literally redid everything. A 4th get shares little with previous Tacomas except for the name. But what a lot of us loved about a Tacoma is still there in the new one. So the number of totally new pieces is many magnitudes greater than the last two updates to this truck. Yet Toyota has pulled it off and stepped up when 1st year issues inevitably came up. I love Tacomas and my 2024 is the best one I could have ever imagined.

So not everyone listens to YouTube morons spouting nonsense, particularly not Tacoma lovers who know why these trucks are special. The mob will move on to a new victim and Taco sales will just keep going up, because the 4th gen Tacoma is still the class act in the midsize world. Most of the people watching YouTube videos would never have bought one anyway.

So, 23% of total Tundra sales are hybrids. For the i...Force...Max it's 4.89%.

hey old fart, we're just trying to read your garbage message. WTF is a MAX versus a hybrid? They're the same fking thing.
Well, it's obvious from your lack of sentence structure and inability to spell correctly that you couldn't figure it out. I'm not surprised. Then, you attack me—are you triggered or feeling threatened?

I see you have a TH, one of the big dogs. Are you compensating for a lack of something?

Remember, boy, you started this. You're the one who got yourself all wrapped up in semantics.

I don't have the time, so I'm going to end it here. I suggest you do the same. If you feel the need to continue, we'll let the admin deal with it.

Y'know growing up I always saw things listed as best in class or number 1 in something but I think this is the best midsize truck available. Just because it really seems like Toyota cared about who the people buying these were and made sure to make the trucks perfect for the demographic and not for squeezing the most money out of us to buy them.

Well, I think they did both :). I think they care about the people who bought them. They made the Truck perfect for the demographic as well as squeezing the most money out of us at the same time. Not mad about that... Companies exist to make money.
