Just saw BBC (reputable news source) released an article that 25% tariffs on imported cars will start April 2. The president says they will actually happen. Ford and GM stock is already down. Since our favorite truck is assembled in Mexico, will our used Tacomas increase in value 25%?

Short term I'm guessing Toyota will eat the cost. Longterm, who knows where this goes but if they are here to say there will either be a price adjustment or more likely Toyota figures out a way to move Tacoma production back to Texas. But my gut feeling and hope is that this is short term and nothing changes.

How could you possibly say it's dumb? Anyone in this group who actually owns one of these things has been killed by these terrible trade agreements and imbalances. Move the assembly and manufacturing to Mexico, pay a fraction in labor, lower quality of materials, sell it in the US, jack the price up $10-$15k. Come on.
Let them raise the prices 25%, let them raise the prices 50%....people arent going to pay it. They can't sell them at the price they're at now, lol.
