TERRIBLE gas mileage on new Tacoma TRD OR

I've had my new Tacoma TRD OR for just over a week and as of this post have 175 miles on her. I'm not sure if something is wrong with the truck, or the computer but it's the worst gas mileage I've ever seen!! Worse than my 2019 tundra and worse than my 2008 Tacoma!! The computer says I'm averaging 13 mpg!!

Now what weird is, I put fuel in it yesterday and on the way home it said I was averaging 20-23 mpg. Than poof! All day today, between 12-13.9 mpg. I haven't done the manual numbers yet but something is way off. Either the motor, or the computer.

Is anyone else having/had this issue with their new Tacoma? Is there something else in the settings I need to reset?

Note: the truck is completely stock, and mostly highway miles to/from work. Average about 70mph on the highway

Do you let it warm up before you drive or anything that would tank the numbers?

What are you actually getting if you finish a tank off and do the math?

We dont get the best mileage, but 17-20 is typical not 12. something sounds wrong.

I haven't even burned a whole tank. I forgot to check when I drove it off the lot to do the calculation manually. So I put a half tank in, and reset the trip. Right after I left the gas station, my "average" was 20-23mpg. But today, it's back down to 13

give it a couple of tanks and see how things go.

My pro is at 15.2 on the dash after 1500mi. Last tank was 13.66. wife drives it to and from work 4 days a week on city streets and I do like 90 on the highway the other day.

Wasn't expecting anything special.

First, you need to figured it out manually.

Additionally, if you get winter fuel blends in your area that will impact your mileage also.

Give it time.

I'm averaging about 19 back and forth to my two-light town and 22-23 on the highway at old-man speeds. I noticed a drop with winter fuels.
