It's a key-card. If you have it on you, you can unlock the truck by touching the door handles and it will let you start the truck. Think of it as a key fob without buttons. I heard there are ways to lock the doors by touching the handles too, but I haven't figured that one out yet

You can lock the doors by touching the top or bottom or top and bottom (squeeze or pinch) of the front of the door handle on both drivers and passenger side there’s a little bump on it and that’s the area you contact

I have used nothing but the credit card key with my truck since I got it in June. It has been great. The card stays in my wallet. Unlock by touching handle, lock by touching the front-top part of the handle (there's a little texture there to show where).

Just put it in your pocket/wallet any way you'd like, nothing special needs to be done, there is a digital key, but its slightly more complicated and in my testing isn't fully reliable

At first thought the key card was gimmicky? After I put it in my wallet it’s all I use! Haven’t touched a fob in months!

Mine had to be programmed by the dealer. The original one was defective so I have to go to a local dealer to get a new on under warranty.

You seem to be having lots of issues with your new truck already, I hope things turn around
Thanks but nothing compared to a new piece of equipment or dump truck. I think the service dept just didn't care to have sales bring them a key card to program when there were 15 people waiting in service lobby. It was very busy. I didnt really care and told them I'd deal with it locally. This and realizing that it didn't have the HUD are only things I can think of so far. I have a habit of leaving my wallet in console during the day working or if around the house not having it on me so I doubt I'd use the feature much. Starting and locking truck with my phone is the best thing for me.
