Apparently the 24s can support 2 sets of wheels with sensors. I have a Canadian 2024 Sport+ and have a new set of Blizzaks mounted on 2024 OFF Road wheels with OEM sensors. Just wondering if anyone has successfully done the programming yet via the MID screen? Is it a PITA? With my previous Tacomas I cloned the OEM sensors and with my 2016 F-150 the truck dealt with it automatically.

I just did mine yesterday. I used to do the same, clone my sensors... but on my Tacoma I did do it through the MID screen. I did get it to work, a little quirky ... added the second set of sensors, and it seemed to have defaulted back to set one sensors, had to switch back the the second set of sensors and light went off. It then took a little while for it to actually show the tire pressure. Been 24 hours and it seems fine since then.

I just installed the winters and can confirm the tpms functions. Like Sner said it was a little bit funky, it didn't match what the owners manual said at all..lol. but better process than previous yrs. The pressures displayed on my way to Tim's, less than 3kms.

Well I stand corrected - got into the truck after work today, TPMS light is on. Can’t seem to get it programmed now. 😡 …. Redid the learn process at a light, drove a few kilometres and tire pressure displayed again and light went off. Have a feeling another software glitch maybe along the lines of the tire pressure values not showing in the cluster after setting them to and next key cycle the setting is gone

Oh oh..that don't sound good. After I install mine I had about 4 starts..the pressures all appear on the screen..after resting the tpms display..of course. Fingers crossed they will appear again tomorrow.

yup me as well, had a few key cycles…. Was all fine, this morning, fine. After work today notice came up to take to dealer for TPMS issue. Re-did the adding of second set of sensors, but I really has to drive quite far for it to register them, much more than the other day when I put them on. That said was rush hour and a ton of stop and go traffic. Time will tell. But I have a funny felling the second set of tires is going to be an issue, I may just go back and clone the sensors to the OE sensors - problems solved.

Nope. Autel units, have used them in my Honda, and Lexus for years and never an issue. Annoyingly just rereading the owners manual, and nothing really lines up to the menus in the truck. Nowhere does it talk in the manual about selecting one of two sets of wheels, yet on the truck in the menus it does ask you about set 1 or set 2 wheels.owners manual is awful doesn’t talk about selecting set 1 or set 2

I used the autel brand on my previous tacos and cloned them to the oems that came in the truck. This time I bought the Toyota brand sensors. Do you have a programming tool?

Could you share which Autel sensors you used?
I have 2024 TRD OR and looking to add 2nd set for winter.
I don't have Autel program tool but hoping I can program the 2nd set through truck's dashboard.

Thanks for the help!

Yup .... here is what I used ....

Autel TPMS Sensor MX-Sensor 315MHz+433MHz 2in1 TPS218 Tire Sensor Tire Pressure Monitoring System Sensor Program Universal Replace 98% of OE Sensor SAE Standard J1205/J120 (Rubber Valve Stem, 4pack)

You won't be able to just program them through the dash, they need to be initialized with the tool. The sensors need to be initialized to program them to the correct frequency as they are a universal sensor, but highly reputable in the industry.

Programming and relearning to two separate parts of TPMS. You cannot program a programmable TPMS sensor without a tool using your truck. All your truck can do is once a TPMS is installed that is either OE or a programmable one that has been programmed for your year, make and model then the truck will do the RELEARN telling the truck you have a new set of TPMS.

If you buy Autel sensors you will have to also get the autel TPMS programmer to program them.

Hope that helps.

Can you advise on my situation; Bought snow tires mounted on wheels with Pacific 315mhz TPMS (TireRack says these are what Toyota uses in my truck) installed at TireRack. I have followed directions on truck settings 10 times (for setting 2nd set of wheels/tires) and can not get pressure to display. I have no device for this so TireRack says go to Toyota dealer to have them "initialize" or program or otherwise make the new TPMS talk to the truck. I have read the TPWS part of my owners manual and it does not exactly correspond with my truck settings menus. I Have a TRD Sport with what I believe is the 12.3" digital dash display. I have an appointment with a dealership but would be happy to cancel if you have any ideas for me. Ive tried driving all around and resetting and nothing works. Thanks!
