Perfect, and i really appreciate the guidance from you on this, its easy to know how you want a look, but i had confusion on other things,
Thank you
David

No problem - and you’ll get more poke than me because your fender flares aren’t as wide

Swapped out my original spare (a 31” on an 17” steel rim) to a 33” on a factory matched 18” alloy rim… fits underneath but is a tight squeeze (and slightly off-center underneath) — but works and I’m happy. I am running 275/70R18s on mine. Definitely hangs down a tiny bit more (wider tread width) but nice to have the matching full-size spare!

That is a nicely sized tire for our trucks.

Agreed — much more muscular and aggressive stance without being too big! I also just added the predator steps and LOVE it…. This is way better than my 2017 Taco!

I went with a larger all-season HT type tire (vs. AT) — I rarely am off-road in anything that isn’t grass/sand/gravel — nothing needing an AT tire. So I went with the LT Michelin Defender LTX M/S 2s for their wet/dry handling and highway manners. They are an E so ride a bit stiffer than the stock Michelins but perfect for me and I love the 2” overall increase in size. Perfection for my needs right now!

So I’ve read the entire thread and am aiming to get either Method 701’s or 703 in 17”. Does anyone have a definitive answer as to if 285’s or even 295’s will fit without rubbing?

Will likely go Faulken for either.

285 may or may not depending on a combination of offset and castor alignment spec

So if im understanding this , trailhunter is 1 /1/2 higher, 2, “. Im installing a westcott lift of 2 “. Will this bring me up to trailhunter height? Now im thinking i should go with 275, 18 “ instead of 285,s? ..im in the minority but i want poke baby lol….its a tacoma im oldschool i guess , Ugh lol. But im leaning to falkens , i have the delership falkens and i like, ive only heard good things….and the falkens add an inch ? So a 34. Is like 35 ? I know its beefy, i think with the trailhunter wheels this will be great

I think 1.5” lift gets you there and 35” tires adds even another inch on top - can never have too many inches
