Since new in October 24, 2024 I have had a vibration & pulse felt though out my TH that I’ve ignored. Happens most notably from 30-45 MPH. I hate driving it long distances and only have 1.400 mile. Finally took it to the dealership (Was going to wait first oil change)
Here’s what I was told. Yes the service manager can feel and hear it. Claims there are so few TH with this suspension that’s it’s just suspension & frame harmonics after hitting any small bump that stops & starts with each bump!
Says it can’t be fixed!
Any other TH owners have this issue.

Take it to a reputable 3rd party wheel and tire shop and check your tires/wheels.

I’d also avoid that dealership again, their statement seems false.

Ive got about 4k miles on my TH, no speed related vibrations/harmonics or otherwise i can report…. What you describe sounds related to a wheel balance/tire deformity issue IMO.

No - my truck shakes when I drive over dirt / gravel roads but I’m coming to realize this is likely just the TH’s stiff springs (my 2022 Pro was much smoother on rough roads) — I’m able to drive my truck on the highway at 100+ MPH with zero vibration or shaking. It feels like a sports car. It’s been smooth at high speeds with multiple wheel and tire configurations.

OP - when does it vibrate? Let us know the exact conditions. Mine does on crappy roads or dirt roads. It vibrates violently on dry rocky trails or gravel roads if I go over 15mph. But not on smooth roads or soft terrain. It’s frustrating as I need to be able to move more quickly on those kinds of roads and trails.

I’d love to drive another TH or ride in one. Anyone in Texas give me a shout.

Mine is an TRD OR but I was told basically the same thing. Vibration was felt 50 kph and up. New tires improved the vibrations felt but there is still a vibration around 90 kph.

Can anyone provide the number to Toyotas service number. I know they have a number where you can reach out to Toyotas customer service/support in you are. I can't remember the actual name but I know they have a number you can reach out and have them help you with this. They can help get your dealership in line .

I'd argue the suspension isn't that stiff in the TH. OE springs pretty damn squishy in the rear IMO

My trail hunter rides stiff. I was thinking I was nuts and today I drove a 2025 TH. And it was extremely smooth compared to mine. We did multiple pothole tests and the two truck ride entirely differently

Is it possible my Falken wildpeaks changed up the ride that much? My tire obsession really has been all about trying to recapture the ride quality - not sure the hell happened but I need to figure it out.

One thing to check may be the prop shaft. 6’ have two piece, while 5’ it’s one piece. Not sure if it’s same on all trims.

I have a sport. Similar issue. Brought it back 2 times. First time they couldn't feel it. Second time they blamed the balance which another garage done. Toyota did the balance again but it's still there. Also, mine starts around 45 -60 kph. I have a oil change soon. Mention it again. The techs have no idea but making up bs

By chance I posted something similar on TacoWorld a couple of days ago after a test drive in a 6ft bed TH. I took a 2nd one out and got similar results. One other poster has the same (also 6ft) and a couple of posters don't have the problem (5ft). A comment on other Taco's as well. It's only there at 30-40 on the 2 I drove, so whether you're driving at 60 or 100 it may be OK (I took one up to a little over 70 and the other to 60 and both were fine).

I should add that the dealer (1st test drive) took the truck into their Service and after checking for anything obvious they switched tires with another Tacoma. Still had the vibes, so for me that absolved the tires/balance on the TH. I spoke to the sales guy today after I told them I'm cancelling my purchase and he said it's being escalated and would let me know what's going on. I'll add info to both thread when I hear.

I have a '24 Trailhunter (5' bed) purchased in early October '24... 3,878 miles, no vibrations at any speed while on paved roads. Off-road is different. Of course you feel bumps off-road because of rocks and holes etc. But the Trailhunter does ride great on paved roads and seems to be pretty stiff. It was more harsh when the truck was new and I didn't have it loaded down with my bed rack and tent etc. Now that I have it loaded up, it seems to ride a bit smoother. Hope this helps.
