TRD Performance Exhaust - PT226-35241-02 worth it? Sound clilps?

Wouldn’t the “center pipe” serve as a “down pipe” on most other turbo vehicles?

I wonder if you have to have the TRD exhaust to use it?

Also if anyone has ordered any of this please post pictures of it out of the box.

It would be nice to know what is included.

Does the TRD performance exhaust include a muffler? Or is it just the double tailpipe with no resonator?

I don't know for sure, but I bet it is the same as my Pro has. If that is true it isn't worth the money, because most of the sound I hear is the fake engine sound from the speakers.

It's just the pipe from oem muffler back seems to just eliminate the resonator and give you double tips . Some say it gives a nice exhaust note but who knows .

It kind of a sporty performance car sound, you just don't hear it much inside.

I’d like to know more about the center pipe.

Most downpipes start at the turbo and then go down.

For the Tacoma we have a catalytic converter on the back of the turbo and from underneath it looks like the diameter of the flange reduces down about an inch before the pipe starts.

It’s too bad you have to just order it to get any info.

I would’ve been real disappointed to order the TRD exhaust and find out you just get the pipe behind the muffler.

Seems to me that a “performance exhaust” should come with a muffler

Hopefully this center pipe is a larger diameter and offers some kind of “down pipe like” gain in performance

From my research you only get the Pipe that connects to oem muffler with double tips
