Mine is not lifted a bit - it is warped to the point where it will not lock into the bed rail and isn't even connected to the bed in the front. It actually flaps in the wind on the highway. The other is lifted slightly, but was not that way when it was delivered, so I wonder if it is heading to where it won't stay fastened down also.
Ugh. Not good.

Picked up my Trailhunter today and only had a few minutes to scope it out..cowl is fine door seals ok bed caps ok so far. Only thing that I’ve noticed is the roof rack vibrates like a sum bitch. Only drove it 50 miles home so this week I’ll have more time to scrutinize some more.. here it is parked next to my 16 tundra limited at the dealer

My bed rail caps have gotten way worse... I going to take it in soon but I think they may blame my bed cover even though they were already lifting before the cover was installed... Hopefully it will be no hassle... Might take my cover off before going in(but shouldn't have too) if anyone Is wondering what's on my tonneau cover it's frost... Already cold here in Alaska so hope I can get it done soon

Mine never did come back up and my tonneau didn’t affect it any. Yours looks bad, I hope they take care of it for you. I traded in already & went back to a V8 Tundra.

Yeah - that is common and even worse than that on my Pro. My dealer was happy to order a replacement part, but a month ago they were back ordered by over 500 units, so we will be waiting a while. I hope they find another supplier because the OEM ones are obviously crap.

My sales guy just checked the lot. 7/12 trucks have the cowl defect. Likely going happen to most of us.
I brought my truck in yesterday and they are ordering me a new cowl cover. They acted all surprised about it. I brought the tech out onto the showroom floor about 20 feet away and showed him the cowl cover of the Tacoma on display and said, "It's the same as this one right here". They still just shrugged.

BTW - they say there is nothing they can do about the rusted cast iron bracket on top of my engine. So with only 3500 miles, I have some noticeable rust but it's "normal" according to the dealer.

Anyone notice that the paint at the corners of the hood looks weird underneath? Like it’s not smooth in those corners? Doesn’t bother me that much but curious if this is everyone or just me.

My replacement cowl looks great. It's nice & flat along the windshield.

Regarding the warped cowl issue...

Until December. :)
All that water literally goes into the same gutter that takes the water to behind the front wheels and to the ground, whether it’s the cowl or cowl gap. It is never a totally sealed off deal on any vehicle—it all goes to the same spot. I think people don’t understand this. Watch any video of someone removing a cowl and you’ll see that under it a big gutter. There is no water that enters the bay or the cab through the gap it just drops to the same exact spot and drains out. Purely aesthetic problem.

True, but once water freezes, it expands. That gap could expand with repeated icing. It'll also make it more difficult to clear the car of ice & snow in the winter.

Maybe. My 2022 pro had it. Never was an issue.

You get icing in Houston??
Obviously not much, but we do a couple times a year. In any event this is a purely theoretical issue that nobody on Tacomaworld or Reddit has ever mentioned and they discuss the most inane theoretical issues with the truck. I would very seriously consider not worrying about it.

Looked at my bed rail covers. They are lifting toward the cab end. When I press down I sense there is 2 sided tape beneath that isn't holding the rail down. Could the fix be as simple as slipping a piece of 2 sided foam tape under bed rail and press down with weight and wait a few hours.
