I don’t know what part is making this noise and the dealer didn’t even attempt to find it. It’s super annoying on the highway and rattles pretty loud over any bumps.

Sounds like you should not beat on the side mirror or it makes a rattling noise.I don’t know what part is making this noise and the dealer didn’t even attempt to find it. It’s super annoying on the highway and rattles pretty loud over any bumps.
Check to make sure it isn’t the unfastened seat belt bumping the side column door frame.Have not seen this one before but at least you’ve narrowed it down to the side mirror assembly. I’ve got a rattle coming from somewhere around the passenger seatbelt area when I’m going over vertical bumps and I simply cannot find where it’s coming from. Seems like I will need to remove a trim piece to find it. Of course when I took it to the dealer I could not replicate it.

mine did this too until I reached over and repositioned the dangling seat belt.
Same hereI tried that. It sounds like that but it’s something different. I’ve tried putting the seatbelt into the clip and even fastening it. I even added felt to the column.
Check the headrests in the rear. If they are not locked in place they will rattle. Then it’s just a matter of time before we figure it out !
Solid advice - open it up - could be a loose harness - I once had a sedan that would rattle from the back brake light and it was a loose electrical harness .., had to drop the headliner to fix itOP, I've never opened a 4th gen mirror cap but my guess would be the electrical connector in there loose and clicking around
