I be interested in how the trade negotiation played out. Why not get that number before before the process starts?Hey all sorry for the delay! Well the deal was legit, Vehicle was $47,206 but we couldn't agree on my trade (2012 Subaru STi). So why not get the truck anyway? I don't want 3 vehicles and to insure 3 vehicles, and I don't want a 1k monthly payment.
So, I'll still get the truck just going to wait and save up and let the market settle while I wait.
You guys are greatly appreciated!
Thats standard operating procedure for a dealership to give you a seemingly incredible deal and then neutralize it with a low-ball trade offer. What seems to good to be true usually is. Why not sell the older vehicle on CL or FB and just buy the truck at 47K?Hey all sorry for the delay! Well the deal was legit, Vehicle was $47,206 but we couldn't agree on my trade (2012 Subaru STi). Carvana has offered me 20-22k for my trade vs 17k CarMax and like 14k from a dealer haha.I actually did go there Saturday and they offered me 13k which is really low. The guy was pretty honest and said your car is a specialty vehicle and we really sell the Altimas, minivans things like that. People that come in are looking for those types of vehicles which they turn quickly and a STi isn't normally their thing.
So, we're just going to keep the STi.
I did see the Tacoma is still sitting on the lot, 28 days in so I sent a follow up email saying make a better deal and I'll be there check in hand to take it from you.
