I found this screw on the ground under the passenger side of my TRD Sport. Is this from my truck? If it is, any idea where it came from?

Looks like a screw for a metal or fiberglass roofing panel except it's got sheet-metal threads. Check any place where flexible materials are screwed to the body (wheel well liner, mud flaps, etc). I don't see any screws with the rubber cushion, but I haven't crawled under mine yet.

Thatā€™s for a sheet metal roof.
No sheet metal roofs anywhere in the general vicinity. I wonder how that could've gotten there?

Looks like it could hold on a plastic panel, somewhere.

Definitely looks like a sheet metal roof screw. Maybe got caught in your tread and fell out on driveway. If so lucky

If you removed the front plastic underneath the bumper, those are the screws that holds it.

I took the air dam off of my Sport when I got it home and the screws looked just like that!

The responses are a hoot. That is 100 % a roofing screw for steel roofing. I guess that doesnā€™t exclude someone at Toyota from using one somewhere on the truck. Maybe they ran out of some sheet metal screws at the factory and ran down to the store and picked up a bag.šŸ˜‚

They Come in different colors to match the roofing

I gave to agree they definitely look like sheet metal screws but we're also not wrong in saying they look near identical to the air damn bolts, I'll have to see if I got one kicking around still for comparison šŸ¤£

All of my air dam screws are still there so it's not that.

I checked the size and it's a standard screw head, not metric (between 6 & 7 mm), so it is likely a metal roofing screw. Lucky it wasn't sticking out of my tire. :)

Thanks for the help.
