Can TRD Pro owners chime in if their hood shakes / rattles over bumpy terrain?

Yes, it shakes. Not just on rough roads either. Kind of use to it though.

Toyota really dropped the ball on these new Tacomas..... 70k for a vehicle that has a hood without any sort of vibration testing.

It’s likely due to the lighter material. Toyota did say that the hood and tailgate are much lighter than the previous gen.

88rotors would be likely to make a stiffener bracket for it, I know I will once I get my pro, benefits of being a fabricator with a cnc

I don’t think tightening down will fix it. The video is exactly how mine shakes as well. I think it’s more pronounced on the Pros because it’s raised.

My pro has this also, shakes a ton. Noticed it immediately on the drive home from the dealer. That being said the road was bump af and my tires were overinflated, as well as the suspension being on setting 2. I haven't updated my tire pressure or suspension since I haven't been home, but the other times I drove it around town I didn't notice the shake as much so I probably got used to it. When I get back i'll adjust tires and suspension and see if it helps.

Same shake as my OR. The hood is just flimsy with no support built in. I compared it to a 24 4 runner TRD Pro, and that hood is very stiff. You can definitely tell they skimped on the stiffening.

When he mentioned the suspension on setting 2.. I assumed that was the medium setting and he advised to put it on setting 1 for a better ride. Wouldn’t that be stiffer??
