Still hoping someone can uncover the part numbers for these. I cannot for the life of me figure out the right combination of key words on Toyota parts sites to locate them!

I'm still 'patiently' waiting for the DS bed scene lighting rail. Original ETA was by August 28, and now September 11.

Does anyone know if the bed scene lighting turns on when you approach the car, or when you unlock the car with the remote?
I confirmed the behavior of the truck bed lighting on the Door setting... (I assume the bed scene lighting is tied together with the truck bed lighting, I finally got my truck today but w/o bed scene lighting).

When on Door, the bed lighting will turn on when ANY truck door is opened, including the driver or passenger doors (doesn't have to be the tailgate door). Once all the doors are closed, the lights will remain on as per your timeout setting (more on that below).

Also, when unlocking the car with the remote, the bed lighting will turn on, and it will remain on based on your setting for door light timeouts.

I haven't noticed any proximity-based approach lights that turn on (you'd have to unlock the car with your remote or open a door).

Timeout setting: By default it's just 15 seconds. You can change it to 30 seconds using the vehicle settings on the main entertainment screen. 30 seconds is the max.

Adding a tiny bit of relevant info to the thread...

I'm days away from taking possession of my OR iFM with premium package and about a half-dozen factory accessories that I selected (step rails, wheels, skid, etc.) The only accessory I wanted which they couldn't get for me was the integrated bed rail lights. The specific response from my dealership was:

"Toyota is saying that isn't currently available to install aftermarket, but will be in the future..."

They couldn't narrow down when "in the future" will be.

Side Note: At the price I ended up paying, I probably should have just ordered a Trailhunter, but they don't come in the color I wanted (blue).

Without looking back, I've been waiting probably close to 2 months to get the DS bed scene rail to replace a DOA rail on my Trailhunter! Still waiting. They've missed 2 promised arrival dates so far. End of August and September 11 both come and gone without a part.

This is interesting. I also ordered an OR and I only found out of the lights after the truck was built. My dealer said that it is a part that is only available when the truck is in "allocated" status so they can install it at the port? Idk, that doesn't make sense to me but they also said it will be available later. So far, I personally have not seen or heard of a single taco with one that isn't a trail hunter

That is interesting....since it is a port installed item and technically installed aftermarket.
