Cruise control won’t set - says consult manual

Hi and sorry I am such a newb! So I keep trying to set the cruise control but it says consult owners manual. Does the same thing on the adaptive cruise control. I did consult the manual and still had no luck... anyone have some tips for me? This is a 6 speed manual on an open road in the city (not a highway or interstate). Thanks

What speed were you traveling?

I also want to say I saw another post about turning off LTA and then back on again, or off then adaptive cruise. Some combo like that.

Hey, newbie here too! I second what Pootklopp mentioned about the LTA thing. Maybe give that a shot? Let us know if it works!

A side note:
If you have disabled the seat belt chime you can not set the cruise without the seat belt being worn. A good thing.

This was the solution. You have to push this button first before being able to cruise. Makes sense since it is the cruise button

@laserDtaco I think you will like and you can set up your Taco to work the way you want. As a bonus you find any codes it might happen to throw before you even visit your dealer.

Mine tells me this for the regular cruise control, but I can switch to adaptive cruise control and it will engage as it should. Any recommendations?
