Trailhunter QC Holds — multiple regions

Good point - multiple months in QC hold seems like a lot of time to change a gasket.

2024 Tacoma TRD Pro Full Transmission Replacement After 342 Miles

That article also mentioned long waits of 2-4 months.

@Biggs1975 Yep - that is it - thanks. Not a lot of detail but it seems like an easy fix to me. I'm not sure why the long hold, unless they are just crazy backed up fixing a lot of trucks on hold.

@Independence Overland I can't find that info I saw about a gasket leak in the snorkel assembly. Maybe I imagined it. lol

Choice Between Hybrid and Non-Hybrid Gasoline: What Influenced Your Decision?

Well you have one and I don't, so I believe you. I have only ever driven one OR hybrid and thought it was fine. I haven't owned my 4.0L in a while but I know that the 2.4 nonhybrid beats it on power, so I assumed the hybrid would rock. Sorry you don't like your truck. It could just be the...

2024 TRD Pro iForce Max -- HUD? One Shark Fin?

@rchrds The information used to be on the Toyota site, but in kind of an odd location, maybe under build? I think it displays on the digital rear view mirror kind of like just seeing through your tailer. That would have been awesome in some towing that I have done. The system you have is the...

Trailhunter QC Holds — multiple regions

Yeah, at least that makes it easier, knowing you won't get a truck with problems right out of the gate. Hope it ends before 56 days!

2024 TRD Pro iForce Max -- HUD? One Shark Fin?

@rchrds The camera systems are great and they are all you really need in a truck most of the time. But if you tow a large trailer very often with no view behind it, you really appreciate a camera system like Toyota is offering. Not many people need that, which is why it makes a good option.

Choice Between Hybrid and Non-Hybrid Gasoline: What Influenced Your Decision?

I don't think the hybrid was really designed for good mileage but for power. I am surprised to see them missing their EPA ratings by so much, but I will live with that. I bet Toyota looks into that because they might get a penalty from the EPA for hybrid actual fuel mileage, versus the rating...

2024 TRD Pro iForce Max -- HUD? One Shark Fin?

My large trailer towing days are mostly over I think, so I didn't really need that camera system, but I wondered how that had sorted out. Does that mean that you have to add the outer shark fins if you get the trailer cameras? I have .a reduced need to tow now, which allows me to trade my Tundra...

2024 TRD Pro iForce Max -- HUD? One Shark Fin?

That is interesting and not something I have been paying attention to. I thought they all had three, but your truck proves that they don't. If you get that trailer camera setup do they add the other two shark fins, or does it have to come from the factory that way? Or does the system now work...

Choice Between Hybrid and Non-Hybrid Gasoline: What Influenced Your Decision?

Yep - that is good news and a lithium replacement would be great. Even better would be if Toyota figures out their solid state batteries they have been working on. All of this stuff will just keep getting better as time goes on.

Choice Between Hybrid and Non-Hybrid Gasoline: What Influenced Your Decision?

Good choice IMO. I have read several articles about how long Toyota hybrid batteries last, most of them well past the warranty, so I think you will be fine. The red is a favorite color of mine and that should be a really good looking truck!

Fuel door- Hybrid vs. non hybrid

I can't see any functional reason for leaving the remote fuel door on one truck and not the other. My guess is that Toyota left all kinds of stuff off of the less expensive Tacos to save money. That leaves only the top models with a lot of features that IMO all of them should have.

2024 Tacoma TRD Pro Full Transmission Replacement After 342 Miles

Nice post and here is another shout out for @TurboTruck! Too many forums devolve into crazy opinions and disagreement, when they really should be helpful to those of us genuinely interested in these amazing trucks. Keep us up to date on your truck's progress and I hope to hear very soon that...

Trailhunter QC Holds — multiple regions

I read it online and probably on a forum but I don't remember where off the top of my head. If I can find a reference I will get back to you. I spend way too much time reading about Tacos while I wait to get mine. :) I assume they figured out that a run of the gaskets were bad and Toyota being...

2024 Tacoma TRD Pro Full Transmission Replacement After 342 Miles

Yeah - that's him. He wants a Pro but without the black flares or the super cool seats and maybe the engine. Sounds like he doesn't want one much at all to me. My only complaint is that mine isn't here yet. I love hearing from owners like you that have the honor of already owning one. Hoping to...

2024 Tacoma TRD Pro Full Transmission Replacement After 342 Miles

That is another point in Toyota's favor. I have seen a few problems which I never expected in a new Toyota truck, but the dealers have all come through. They put the buyers in rentals and gotten the trucks fixed quickly. That is how you keep your customers loyal in the long run.
