Any USB drive will work. You just have to make sure it's formatted to FAT32. Most USB drives come pre-formatted to EX-FAT or NTFS which won't be recognized by the truck.
The USB-C port to the right of the 14" display is for media only. Load up a USB stick with music files and the head unit will...
I have a 32 GB stick plugged in there and it's working fine for me.
I still don't understand why they made those two USB-C ports under the display power only.
On delivery yours was only 40? Mine was 51, even after I asked the dealer to make sure to check. I don't think dealer prep includes lowering the tire pressure on the checklist. All 4 of the last vehicles my family has bought, 3 Toyotas and 1 Mazda, have been delivered to us with 50+ PSI.
The door sticker on my TRD Sport says 32 PSI, not 30 PSI.
I wouldn't want 30 PSI in my tires in the winter as that would just make the tire pressure warning light pop on all the time. :)
On other Toyotas that I've had with heated steering wheels, only the padded parts of the wheels were heated. I don't think they have a heating element in the hard plastic areas. I think it's just hard plastic molded over a metal core.
This has been a problem with all of my Toyotas with these sensors. The best way to stop it is to turn them off during a drive through a snow storm.
BTW - you will have to turn them off if you go through a car wash too. If you don't, they light up your dashboard like a Christmas tree and in a...
I've had my Taco since May and I'm a bit surprised we haven't had a software update. My previous Toyotas always seem to get at least one update during the first 6 months after the bug reports come in.
I think the function might have changed between the 2020 & 2023 model years. My 2020 Avalon worked as your wife's Highlander but my wife's 2023 Rav4 works like our Tacoma.
Drain hole? I don't have a drain hole in my bedliner anywhere. I'm parked in my driveway on a slight hill so when it rains, I get quite a bit of water in there. Are there plugs in there that were supposed to be removed during dealer prep?
I still haven't removed my air dam because I'm worried about the felt wheel well liner getting wrecked. The leading edge of that felt is clamped against the body by the air dam and once removed, it can flap around a bit, even if you reinstall the 10 mm bolts.
Until someone comes up with a piece...
I opened a ticket with Toyota Brand Engagement to try and see if they can get the ECO gauge fixed in their new software rollout. These software updates typically happen once or twice a year and I thought this would be an easy fix.
Their e-mail reply was that they have contacted the dealer...
True, but once water freezes, it expands. That gap could expand with repeated icing. It'll also make it more difficult to clear the car of ice & snow in the winter.
